Backed this one tonight, York 3.00 - Flood Plain 4/1 Ran a eye catching race LTO when with a clear run would of won i reckon. Has improved and is going well at home (so i am told.)The fav will take some beating but B Meehan is not in the greatest of form and with it being her debut, i will be taking her on. Best of luck all

York Dante Festival – Day 3
1.30 – 5f Marygate (2yo Fillies)
A strong looking renewal with Miss Work Of Art, in particular, already boasting some strong form. She took the notable scalp of Magic City at Ascot when coming home a convincing winner, and she presents a formidable level of form. Pyman’s Theory was impressive at Leicester and is clearly highly thought of, starting at 4/5 on her debut. Others to consider include Queens Revenge, who won well at Ripon, beating the useful Alejandro, who has given the form a good boost since, despite a poor start. If she breaks well then she is sure to improve from that effort. At 7/1 she might well represent EW value against the favourite.
4.45 – 1m4f Handicap (3yo)
A competitive looking affair, with any amount of unexposed and improving types. Plenty of these come here off the back of a maiden win and the race may well throw up some useful types. Perhaps the one to be with is Man Of God. He was a well beaten 8th on his debut at Newmarket in what was a very hot maiden. The first three were Frankel, Nathaniel and Genius Beast. He then won well at Yarmouth in September, staying on strongly to suggest that this mile and a half trip will be to his liking. He was a 290,000Guinea yearling and it will be a disappointment if he was unable to put forward a bold display here off a mark of 74. He is well related, including to three Oaks placing fillies and Irish 1000 Guineas winner Yesterday. Interestingly he still holds a Derby entry so he must be held in some regard by connections. The 11-2 looks reasonable.
Newmarket
1.50 – 6f Maiden (2yo Fillies)
Royal Blush sets a high standard after finding just one too good last time. The 3rd has since come out and won giving the form some strength. But most interesting is the newcomer Lemon Rock (NAP). I have been told that she is well above average and is thought of as a Royal Ascot filly. Connections have a line of form to Royal Blush, through their Dark Order, who placed 4th behind that rival at Newmarket. They are confident of a big run before heading to bigger prizes later in the season. Midas Medusa looks another potentially smart juvenile for the Hannon team but Lemon Rock is preferred.
3.25 – 1m2f Handicap (4yo+)
Shallow Bay holds a strong chance here after finishing a close second at Windsor after a success at Kempton. He has been raised 13lbs since that win and it might well pay to side with an alternative. The most obvious candidate is Vita Nova. She remains unbeaten in two starts, with a maiden victory followed up by a first time success in handicap company. She won convincingly at Salisbury and races here of just 7lbs higher. She has been working well with some Pattern class fillies at home and is very well fancied to take this before going onto bigger and better things later in the year.
I have had an EW Lucky 15 on the 4 mentioned above. I wish the very best of luck to everyone who plays today.

Also just to mention a horse running at Cork tonight. Badger or Bust in the 7.10. It ran at Gowran last night and was beaten by a short head at 10-1 despite terrible recent form. I was expecting it to be a NR today but its still down to run. It was 12-1 this morn and is now as low as 6-1. Could end up being a NR but its also possible they were going for a quick fire double which just failed last night but they might get compensation tonight. Just a thought...............

A few tricky ones to go through today but i will go with.. 8.20 Newcastle - Kng Of Eden, 4/1 nap Alstons yard is doing very well at the moment thank you very much and he can fire in another winner here. He won last time out when here, that was 6f's, this is at 7, and has the same conditions as well... Seeking a hat trick of wins and i feel will get it here... Also - 2.30 York - Native Ruler, 4/1 2.40 Newmarket - Golden Prospect, 25/1 e/w 3.35 York - Jamaican Bolt, 8/1 6.00 Aintree - Magical Legend, 6/1 6.10 Newcastle - Spavento, 8/1 7.15 Newcastle - Zaplamation, 4/1 All in a few combo's... Good luck to all who play today, and keep firing in those winners....
