It's the second day of Glorious Goodwood. Action also comes from Redcar, Perth, Leicester (EVE), Sandown (EVE) & it's Galway Plate day in Ireland.
Goodwood: BOWDLERS MAGIC (ew) 2.00 (nap) Such a consistant horse who will be ideally suited by this marathon trip. Should be up with the pace, and he can make his stamina count in the latter stages.
LETHAL FORCE 2.35 He wasn't disgraced in a hot heat at Royal Ascot - only beaten just over a length by the promising Power. Track should be fine, and must go close.
SADLERS RISK 3.45 Tricky race to end C4 coverage today, however the selection ran well in a Group 3 at Chester behind the Derby runner up. Weight may be an issue, but stamina should come into play.
NAPS:
GOODWOOD: Sparky 2.00 ................................... Bowdlers Magic (ew) Thornberry 3.10 ............................ Canford cliffs Deeman 3.45 ................................. Halifax Muffetto 3.45 ................................. Arch Fire (ew) Ffctom 5.35 .................................... Common Touch
PERTH: Redcgull 4.40 ................................. Swiss Guard
SANDOWN: Degs 8.35 ...................................... Memory Lane

Morning all, and a good one at that... A good days racing i thought yesterday, and its hopefully going to get better as the week goes on... Anyone have thoughts on the clash of C.Cliffs n Frankel... My only gripe is that we know these 2 will pull away, but there is only 4 runners... Is it that we just have a shortage of top quality horses for this, as thats how i see it. I cant put many others in the same league as the top 2... Anyway we will see what happens later on... Im just leaning to Frankel for today... lets just hope for a good race... Back in a bit with a few picks...

6/4 Canford Cliffs is too big to ignore! Canford is like a robot horse, Hughes pushes a button and the horse glides to the front, no matter who the horse is! Frankel as good as he is, u just dont know what kind of race he will run, with Canford they have a clear strategy, my only worry is if Frankel bolts off into the sunset and Canford cant go the gallop!

Morning All
I think the big two could be surprised by Head's runner in the big one at Goodwood, he rarely wastes a visit to these shores and with all the attention on Frankel and Canford Cliffs, could go close a decent price, although if push comes to shove I would be on Canford Cliffs, Hughes rides this track so well,
Still looking through the cards, but struggling to find anything at the moment that leaps out, will be back in a bit with some picks

I think Frankel wins the big race. I believe that Canford Cliffs needs a strong pace, and unfortunately, I cant see that happening. Frankel may be forced to make the running, and if we see the same tactics which saw him win the Guineas in amazing fashion, he will be very hard to beat.

in the guineas he had nothing like Canford up his jacksy! 4 horse races are messy though so anything could happen, its a pity there aren't a few more entered

William Hill report a £160,000 wager on Frankel at 4-5 and cut him to 8-11.
some folk are nuts!
mind last week how some random punter walked into a bookies in London and stuck £120k on a random nag at evens, needless to say the horse lost, the best of it was the horse never went odds on because of it so the punter couldnt even lay the bet for a definate profit

I think Arch Fire at 7s is a good EW in the 3.45 Sir Stoute although unlucky yesterday is starting to fire with three 1sts, two 2nds and two 3rds from his last 7 runners Hopefully Moore is up for it today!
I'l have that as my Nap today

Muffeto - It always amazes me when the beeb show the bets being placed with John Parrot and the big guy, where did they find him by the way... Its pure madness...
Suppose they can afford to lose it... Still seems madness to me though...
