The Green Bay Packers meet the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV on Sunday 6 February at Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas, kick-off 2330 GMT approx.
The whole game will be covered live on BBC One, and should be a cracker. I will give a review in a while especially as there are likely to be many different betting options when it comes to the game itself.
Does anybody have any thoughts on how they think this game will pan out?

Green Bay to win,i think they will control the Steelers offence and get to the QB who after the last game looks a bit beat up. Also Steelers have two injuries on their defensive line that could make a major difference if they don't get fit for the Super Bowl. It will not be a high scoring game so an over/under bet could be the way to go. The only downer really is that it is being played down south, would have been great if the game was played up north in the frigid weather and on turf. My prediction is Green Bay win by 10

The packers are Favourites to win the big event this weekend, and I think it will be a close call, but for me the Steelers win it as they have the players who have more experience of the big game, having won the Superbowl in 2009.
Also the Steelers have an impressive record in the Superbowl, having only ever lost once in the Superbowl itself. They also Line up in a 3-4 defensive formation, which is a formation that the Packers have struggled against all season.
As I said, I think it will be a close game, with the Steelers just edging it and maybe the best bet could be to go for the number of points scored being low as both teams have good defense.

Not a great game or many plays that stood out.Was not won by good play, but rather who made less mistakes. But at least the Packers won. For all concerned the Packers are not my team. The RED SKINS are. Through the bad the ugly and the very worse for the last 25 yrs.

I enjoyed it cos of the way it was littered with mistakes, defenses were the reason for this. I think the Packers deserved the win!
And just so you know islanderpei, I'm a Giants fan and we cocked it up royally this year!

FFctom they sure did, but at least they have future next season, but the Red Skins what can i say, give up first round picks for an aged QB then sign him to a massive contract, and two weeks later bench him.Now we have to try and unload him.It will take a long time to get back to anything like winning a div title i think.

It's funny though like that cos I always think our div is the most competitive every season so makes it harder for us to get to the Big Game at the end of the season.

I agree and if any teams that make the playoffs they are normally beat up and have plenty of injuries. Our time will come around again (hopefully) soon. Do you follow any college football. Some real good games every Saturday, just started watching a few this year. It does get confusing with all the "bowls" to contend for etc I like to watch Notre Dame and Michigan State, also with the college games there is alot of rivalry between teams, no wonder they have 100,000+ crowds
