Manchester United will be pitted against Chelsea in the quarter-finals whilst Spurs have an uphill task when they face Real Marid.
There's good news and bad news for English football fans in the aftermath of the Champions League draw which took last week.
The good news is that they're guaranteed at least one semi-finalist after Chelsea and Manchester United were drawn against each other. The bad news is that one of those two sides, both of whom much was expected, will obviously be going out at the quarter-final stage. The market is likely to find it very hard to split the pair.
More bad news for those wanting to see an English team do well arrived when Tottenham were drawn against Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho is looking to become the first manager in history to win the Champions League with three different clubs and his side have looked mightily impressive so far, none more so than when they beat Lyon 3-0 at home in the last round.
Hot favourites Barcelona got a decent draw by being paired against Shakhtar Donetsk though they'll be aware the Ukranians are a dangerous side who won the UEFA Cup not so long ago.
Reigning champions Inter Milan have been drawn against Schalke, who knocked Valencia out in the previous round. Inter are 9/1 to do what no other side has ever achieved, which is to successfully defend their Champions League crown.
The quarter-final ties will be played on 5/6 and 12/13 April.
Will we get an all English final at Wembley? Will it be an all London affair or are Barcelona certs to win?
