Meydan
1:50-SkySurfers
Produced a smart performance when winning first time Here in 2010.He looked to be in top nick when winning a listed event here on return this year with the reopposing Imbongi back in 3rd.Has a great chance under his perfect conditions and Frankie rides.
2:25-Mahbooba
Mike De Kock rates this filly very highly indeed. She has won 3 of her 4 starts in SA including a G1 Race and she beat stablemate Reem in the UAE 1000 Guineas before a good percformance to finish 2nd in The UAE Oaks the last day. Will go very close.
3:05-Rocket Man
One of my Fav Flat Horses in training and is high class in his native Singapore having never been defeated.Has some high class form to his name outside of Singapore including when 2nd in this event last year to Kinasale King.Since that day has held his form well,He will go very close the only concern is the draw which could have been kinder to the Rocket.
3:45-River Jetez
Just keeps improving and improving and improving.Had no luck on her reappearance when she could only finish 3rd to AspectOfLove in the G2 Bal Al Shams stakes but put that run behind her when easily winning the Balanchine the last day beating stablemate Reem in the process.Still lightly raced so there should still be more improvement to come and can go very close here.
4:50-Rewilding(NAP)
His sister DAr Re Mi won this race 12 months ago and this fella looked a potential star for Andre Fabre at 2 before making a winning British debut at Goodwood at 3.He then took the Great Voltiger Stakes at York.Prior to that he seemed to dissapoint in the Derby when a staying on 3rd but its my belief that he got unbalanced coming down Tattenham corner and took a while to rebalance himself and Workforce the winner that day went on to win the Arc.He also disappointed when fav for the St Leger but his trainer has stated he just didn't stay the 1m6f that day. Will go very close here.

2.35 Lingfield A decent 6 horse listed race here. Vanguard Dream is likely to go off favourite and probably rightly so. Having looked back at his replays it is clear he has lots of ability but I don’t know what to make of his form just yet. Two of his wins have come on soft ground with the other a poor race on good ground for which he was a 4/9 shot. He seems to come off the bridle fairly early but does find plenty for pressure which is always a positive. However I don’t see him as a good bet at the current odds of 15-8. The one I will be having a small bet on here is ELSHABAKIYA, I really liked her two efforts last season in which she bumped in to two well above average sorts over 5f, she managed to beat off all but Maqaasid on debut at Sandown and then ran in to Crying Lightening at Leicester. She pulled hard that day early on in the race as well. The step up to 7f looks likely to suit and I think she will run a big race here and the current price of 9/2 looks decent enough Dubawi Gold is good on his day but it is unlikely he will be allowed to dominate from the front here with Oceanway and Vanguard Dream in the field. He has won on his only start over 7f but his inconsistent profile would be a slight worry for me and the less exposed sorts may have his measure. I don’t think Oceanway is good enough to win this, her form is poor compared to the main principals here and while there is no doubting she is open to further improvement I doubt she will be good enough. The rank outsider Conducting is actually a horse I liked when looking at the replays of his first two efforts. He was giving a very easy introduction in a fair maiden before getting off the mark in game style at Musselburgh. However he was shocking last time out and it would be hard to forgive him such a bad effort. Bathwick Bear has had a prep race for this out in France in which he finished 3rd in a listed heat, he has plenty of ability but concedes weight all around here and this is a tough race.
2.15 Sandown Have looked at this race a few times now and I have it between the top two. Kerada is improving and has done little wrong so far over fences. She jumps well enough but has beaten nothing at all yet and conceding 3lb to the likewise improving EASTER LEGEND may be too much. She impressed me in her first two chasing starts and was still going well when coming down 2 out last time. She will be suited by this step up in distance and at 5/1 she is the selection. 1.15 Meydan A good sprint race and it is interesting that the American horses are big prices here, they have a good record out in Dubai and Mr Gruff has been talked about by a few racing pundits in the last few days. However I find it almost impossible to look beyond JJ THE JET PLANE, he looks right back to his best and his win in Hong Kong was some of the best sprinting form in the world (got the better of Sacred Kingdom and Rocket Man). He was disappointing first time out at the carnival this season but that run can clearly be put down to the Tapeta surface. He looked very good last time out back on the turf when giving lumps of weight to his rivals and still scoring with a bit in hand. It will be interesting to see if Sole Power can prove his 100/1Nunthorpe victory over Starspangledbanner was no fluke. I think it may have been myself and I don’t think he will take this. 1.50 Meydan I totally agree with Famous here. SKYSURFERS is my selection and I expect him to win this race at a decent price. He looks a totally different horse out here and looking back at some of his runs at this track they have been top performances. His victory over an in form Eagle Mountain last season on only his second career start was sensational. He had a few runs below that form but still produced good efforts. His win last time out over Musir is very solid form and makes him the one to beat having had a run. He looks Godolphin’s best hope of winning the Godolphin mile again and I am stunned to see he is available at 6/1. Red Jazz and Premier Loco look the biggest threats. 2.25 MeydanA cracking race this one and it would be hard to rule out most of the contenders. However KHAWLAH stands out most. This Godolphin owned 3yo showed some smart form at 2 and looks open to significant improvement after beating the highly regarded Mahbooba on her first effort this season. Mike De Kock’s horse takes her on again but there is no reason for a reversal of form. Godolphin are also represented by Xin Xu Lin who has a big reputation following 4 grade one wins in South America, this is her first start for Godolphin and Frankie Dettori takes the ride. It is always hard to judge on jockey bookings at the carnival as so many times Godolphin have had more fancied runners win with Dettori on another horse, and it has been the same with other stables as well. So I am more than happy to stick with Khawlah. Aidan O’Brien has two runners here. Master of the hounds has been kept in good company but may well lack the class of a few rivals here, while his other runner Alexander Pope takes a huge step up in class but is completely unexposed. Of the rest Zanzamar and another Godolphin horse Splash Point look closely matched and make plenty of appeal in what looks a cracking renewal. 1.45 NewburyMy good old friend FRANKLINO is still 15/ 2 despite what I thought were his two main rivals coming out of the race. One was his stablemate Balerina, not sure for the reason of that withdrawal but can't see it being the ground as she has done well on this better ground. Maybe King is up to something and Franklino looks interesting off a mark of just 107 on his handicap debut with Charlie Huxley taking off another 3lbs, it is clear he is no 2m horse, he travels well enough until they quicken up over that distance and then just can't go with them, therefore he has to be considered upped to 2m3f today and imo this is his best ever chance of winning over hurdles Smaller bets - Twice Over - Mendip/River Jetez - Rewilding Good luck all
