Super excited about Aintree today!!
I've gone for BB (then also cover the r/f with Grand Crus in big size). Also betting without fav, Grand Crus. Tricast BB, GC and Carlo Brigante Zarkander Denman (r/f with Carole's Legacy) - Baby Run small single Sports Line (got 16-1 last night) also Tchico Polos and Mamlook e/w Medermit Ski Sunday (got 16-1 last night) then e/w on Michael Flips, Get me out of here and Afsoun. Super race to watch, so many good horses. Done some bigish e/w doubles and trebles on the 6 horses above.

Aintree
2:00-Big Bucks
Quite simply the greatest staying hurdler of his generation and very likely the greatest staying hurdler of all time.Made history last month when winning the World Hurdle at the Festival for a record 3rd Consecutive year and took this event last year.Ruby is still convinced they have got no where near the bottom of him and there is still a minimum of a stone to come.Buying money here.
2:30-Zarkander
Unbeaten over hurdles winning a G2 at Kempton on debut before taking the Triumph hurdle at the festival last month. This sharper 2m will be no problem and should hack up here.
4:15-Tchico Polos
Very smart chaser on his day.Won the Haldon Gold Cup on seasdonal debut ast Exeter last Autumn and has produced even better efforts in defeat since includng when finishing 2nd in the game spirit. Will go very well here and can give FAMOUSWISE,Walsh and Nicholls a treble on the card.
4:50-Royal Charm
Very smart over hurdles and was ultra impressive when winning on chase debut at Exeter. He then returned to that course and jumped beautifully when making it 2 out of 2 over fences. Will stay this far and can go very close at a nice price.
5:25-Megastar(NAP)
Won a G2 bumper at this meeting 12 months ago and has progressed very nicely over hurdles. He has been given quite a leniant mark in my opinion on his handicap bow and can take this here before going novice chasing next season.

morning gents... So we start today with some short priced favs, and as Degs has pointed out, Fvas dont get a good return at times on the opening days racing... But in saying that, Big Bucks and Zarkandar will be hard to beat, 4/6 and evens... Some good match ups elsewhere, so for consideration in those... 3.05 Caroles Legacy - 6/1 3.40 Ice Tea - 12/1 4.15 Mamlock - 7/1 4.50 Medermit - 9/4 5.25 Problema Tic - 12/1 4.15 - Mamlock - 7/1, nap Not raced at Cheltenham, and prob saved for this. This is todays nap... Cheers and good luck to all today...

tom Aintree I dont think will be as straight forward as people think (then again everyone seems to have different ideas anyway lol) , think Big Bucks is about as close to a near on certainty you can get. But some of the other cards I think we could see some really big priced winners

Aintree today could be dominated by short priced favs, but as such, like the look of these
2.00 Big Bucks e/w alternative Carlo Brigante / Knockara Beau 2.30 Kumbeshwar also fancy Launchpad 3.05 Caroles Legacy 3.40 Mister Apples, but also like Kilty Storm 4.15 Mamlook, e.w prices would be Beggars Cap 4.50 Shirley Casper 5.25 no clue whatsoever so going with Russian War
