The second leg of the Desert Swing of the European Tour gets underway this week with a new addition to the, the Volvo Golf Champions, to be played on the 7,224 yard, par-72 Montgomerie Course at the Royal Golf Club, Bahrain. With no course form to go on or any knowledge of the course, it makes this event a very difficult ont to predict and therefore maybe would be best with a watching brief. It is hardly surprising to see the bookies have the usual suspects at the top of the market in Harrington, Poulter, Casey and Karlsson and as such I would suggest the winner would come from one of these four. However, Sergio Garcia continues his return with this tournament and may be worth backing for a top 10 finish, but as it is early season still, I would keep my stakes to minimum. Picks : Poulter to win outright, Garcia to finish in Top 10 nb. I am not backing these, just expressing my opinion

No idea, apparently the greens are complete joke according to some of the players. Ian Poulter was not too happy about them on his twitter feed today.
Hope Garcia can keep it going though cos he is a hell of a talented player when he is on form. would be good to see him back to his best

It would be good for him to put some good rounds together and be in contention over the next few months to get him in the right frame of mind, ready for the majors. He has that natural ability like Seve ,and like Seve he seems to get himself down, even a depressed state at times, over little things which then effect the whole swing. Remember the grip re grip episodes some years back. He needs a good sports psycologist more than anything. Will have to check out the EW markets for him in the majors
