Thought today might be a no bet day for me, however, theres a half decent card at Chester with some decent bred horses at reasonable prices to be had, so my selections all focus on Chester.
In the 1.45 i can see no further than the Richard Fahey trained filly LILYS ANGEL 7/4 who has beaten everything put in front of her to date including her well fancied and odds on stablemate ONE COOL DUDE.
2.15 WONDER OF WONDERS 15/8 finally found her feet second time out this season on Good to Firm and still holds an entry in the Oaks (AP 16/1) which could be determined by the outcome tomorrow, im sure with Ryan Moore on board she will be given a careful ride and have the ability on this ground to run a good race.
2.55 There are a number of decently priced types in the Chester Cup, many of which have had a decent season over sticks, which could have taken its toll. Therefore; my win selection is the top weight TASTAHILL 8/1 (NAP) who was 2nd in this race last year, having raced in some decent Class 1 races since then he has not been disgraced and won the Jockey Club Group 3 race at Newmarket LTO when running on over 2 miles, he runs off a 3lb higher mark than last year and the stable are bang in form at the moment. My EW fancy is the Richard Fahey trained HALLA SAN at odds of 25/1(EW) who has taken the same prepartory route as he did last year when he finished 3rd and seems to go well at Chester beaten by less than a length on his last two outings here. Both trainer and champion jockey have started the season well and should be there or there abouts again off a similar mark as the last two years.
3.30 BLUE JACK 6/1 Course and Distance winner, decent turn of foot, goes well freash and has a decent draw, will appreciate a fast start and should make his cursitory late charge from about 2f out.
4.40 GOTTANY Os 4/1 a later starter who seems to have progressed very well since making his debut on the AW in February this year. In his latest win at Catterick he went off at very short odds and led 7f out and showed character when challenged if out running on strongly again and is only given a 2lb hike for a comfortable win. In his first win on the AW he won by 10l unchallenged albeit it in different company than tomorrow. His early season, form and fitnesss may prove too much for his opponents and i will be having a small win bet on him.
Good luck to all who play today, especially if your betting at Punchestown after today you may need it there were some right shockers

Wayward leave off Punchestown we get it you don't like irish racing
Punchestown 3:40-Accordian To Paddy Hold-Up horse who has improved with every run.Winning over 2m at Navan and DownRoyal at the start of the year.Improved again when 2nd over 2m7f the last day.Drop back to 2m4f ideal and will get the strong pace he requires.
4:10-Empire Levant Won 3 times on the flat in France and has posted a improved effort each time he has run in the UK.Jumping beautifully when winning at Doncaster and only finding Sire De Grugy too good in a G2 at Kempton where the ground would have suited the Gary Moore horse more.Has the GOD that is Ruby Walsh in the plate for the first time and our 4yr olds aren't very strong this year Unaccompianed aside who doesn't run here. 4:55-Raptor Has improved bundles on his French Form since joining Willie.Winning a 2m4f Maiden Hurdle here in Jan.2 of the horses behind him that day have since gone on to win maidens of their own,Will stay 3m and still improving. 5:30-Kauto Star I won't repeat what has been said about this fella many times before BUT i believe he now needs good ground to be seen at his best. His best run of this year came on good ground and i think he cam keep his unbeaten record in Ireland intact by taking this. 6:05-Lovethehigherlaw At the prices i wanna be taking on Waheeb and Lovethehigherlaw is well related having 2 champion hurdlers in his family and created a excellent impression when winning on debut. Was the beaten the last day by my Jump Horse to follow for next year in Mount BenBulBen and can bounce back to take this here.
6:40-Apt Approach Big Strapping Front Runner who has taken no time in improving on his hurdle forms over fences.Ran possibly his best race over fences when only beat home by Elysian Rock at Thurles the last day and looks to have been given a bit of a chance by the handicapper on his handicap debut.
7:15-Alfred James Cost a shedload of money and was well fancied by the yard and FAMOUSWISE on his debut when he only managed 5th.Will have learnt plenty from that and wins this today.
Chester 2:20-Wonder Of Wonders(NAP) Was given to the Fugees board by FAMOUSWISE before she even hit a racecourse. She ran very green on her debut at 2 before running on to grab 2nd place.Aiden then put her away for the winter always a good sign that Coolmore rate a horse.Heff then totally screwed up on her on her seasonal debut at Leopardstown but she made up for that when hacking up at Tipperary the last day.Beautifully Bred and can take this before going on to Oaks glory at Epsom. 2:55-Overturn Winner of a Northumberland Plate and a Galway Plate.Finished 3rd in the Scottish Champion Hurdle last month. The only front runner in the field he could get a very easy lead and is perfectly drawn.Could turn it into a procession.

CHESTER 2.55
MAMLOOK 12/1 E/W
This is a good race for repeat winners. Mamlook is 4lb higher than when he won the race last year , he has run well over fences in the winter and comes back here with a reasonable draw, yard fancy him to go close again and he looks set for a good run.
DARLEY SUN 20/1 E/W
Darley Sun won the Cesarewitch in 2009 but not all has gone to plan for him since his switch to S Bin Suroor. All though the stable are not in the greatest of form Darley Sun has been doing some very decent home work and is fancied to run a massive race.
Good Luck.

Ffctom
Yeah low numbers especially in 5f sprint if you have a horse that breaks well as after 100 yards they are already on the turn
