Quick question, how are e/w terms (1/4 or 1/5/places) determined by the bookies?
I thought it might be by the number of runners in a given race yet the first race at Kilearney is a 20 runner field with ew terms of 1/5 for the first 3.
Thanks all

Hi Deeman, no afraid not, but looking at the rest of the Pipes runners on the jumps and the flat thought it stood out from the rest especially with McCoy on board.

SL reports that going at NA is Good (Good in places). Well, that's good to know, I guess?

One fancy today which I have already backed:
4:00 Bath - Goose Green
(Quite like this one although he is 3lbs. out of the handicap, offset, however, by the 5lb. allowance claimed by the excellent Harry Bentley. Certainly stays the distance OK, having won over 2f. further).

Really fancy Monumental Man in the 2.10 at Wolves Big Price, rubbishy race, it was slowly away last time and in 2 year old races that is useless, so if it breaks better and the experience of a race behind it.. Its not against much so iv had a wee tenner EW at 25s

Deeman: Yes, agree, it is a tight race. To be honest, am a bit swayed by this young Harry Bentley, who has a great riding style and could be a youngster with a bright future. GL with your selection regardless!
