As i seem to be looking at the York meeting more than any other meet to day i will put up my picks for the days racing from there... York... 2.00 - Ancient Cross, 10/1 - NOT PLACED... Looks a competitve race with potential winners across the field, im leaning towards AC here. Ran well at Goodwood lto and won his previous race. Has good strong speed coupled with a CD win here before... 2.30 - Zumbi, 11/1 - 3RD... Again another race that will take some wining, but i fancy this combo of Fallon/Stoute to prevail and take this 7f race. Won his maiden outing at Ascot 24 days ago, at 6f, and showed that he can be produced to win with a good tactical ride. Looked to be capable of more... 3.05 - Seville, 5/4 - A POOR 3RD...!!! Has run really well this year without claiming top prize but has shown he can copmete at the top level of racing. It may just come down to him and Sea Moon, but i think Seville just has enough class to take this... 3.40 - Await The Dawn, 5/6 - 3RD AND NEVER IN IT...!!! The price is skinny compared to the challegers but i think Await The Dawn will hold off the challenge of Midday and Twice Over. The way he won his last 2 runs suggest he can take on the tough Cecil horse Midday and claim the winners prize. Not a certain race to bet on but i am going for the youth to win this and the 4 year old takes my pick... 4.15 West Leake Hare, 5/1 - NOT PLACED... There are a few a like in this and can talk myself out of backing a different horse each time a look at the card on this race, but West Leake Hare it is. But ive also looked at On The Hoof, Satanic Beat, Sanad and Es Que Love... Not one to be totally sure of but WLH gets my vote... 4.50 - High Twelve, 12/1 - NOT PLACED... Top weight yes, and a 4lb rise for his last win at Ascot. But he has won 3 times from 1m to 1m2f and ran well enough to suggest that the 4lb hike wont stop him going in again here. A few other to pick out in another open race, Arelquin, Eagles Peak and Our Joe Mac being the others... Lets hope for a good days racing whoever we all follow.... Will be back in a mo after ive had a bite to eat...

Questions have to asked... I know he likes to put pace makers in most of his races but dos a 5/6 or 8/13 runner need any help with a pace maker... Seems strange to me as both didt look like getting into the final frame... As as for Tipperary, they say its a long way... but its going to be a long way back tonight...

For me, it's a worry that he keeps putting pacemakers in as surely if the Horse is good enough it will win without the need for one, although it can be understandable when he has a horse that does better over a truly run race, however, his yard does not seem to be in great form this season compared to previous seasons, but York seems to suit galloping horses and as such certain trainers tend to do better here than elsewhere Mister Musicmaster in the next
